More businesses are turning to Apple products following the company's successes in the home user market, it has been suggested. The Baltimore Sun's David Zeiler notes that recent figures from Forrester Research revealed that adoption of iMacs, MacBooks and desktops from Apple has grown from 1.1 per cent in October 2006 to 4.5 per cent in June this year,
It adds that although this number may at the moment seem small in comparison to the PC market, it is a sign that the firm is growing in popularity and that this is something that could well continue.
Benjamin Gray, the Forrester Research analyst behind the study, said although Apple had made little effort in the business market, a combination of popularity and user-friendliness was seeing its consumer success bleed out to other fields.
"Tech populism drives younger, more tech-savvy workers to buy whatever they need to work smarter, faster and cheaper," he added.
Half Life Source reported recently that Apple's popularity reflected in its second quarter financial results had represented "another surprise, with results that easily surpassed Wall Street's expectations".
