Policy Enforcement
End users are often unaware of the implications of their actions when they install unlicensed software, download copyrighted materials, and use unlicensed fonts. This opens up potentially crippling liabilities for companies, schools and other organisations. To prevent this, organisations often create a list of policies that govern computer and Internet usage, however they often lack the tools to track and enforce compliance-until now.
Automatically Discover, Remove, Report
Integrating Recon and the JAMF Software server (JSS), then applying rules based on the information returned, allows you to sleep soundly at night. It begins with determining the frequency of your scans from by the minute, to randomly throughout the day or week, at start-up, at shutdown, at login or logout. You decide how often you need machines to report. From there you determine your restricted applications and processes by departments, buildings, or computer groups. Within five minutes you can begin your compliance audits that automatically remove offending titles and kill open applications. The reports generated can be sent out to notify IT management, human resource departments, and other department management.
The policies, removal and notification features within the Casper Suite are customisable to reflect the needs of your company, school or organisation and are intended to reduce your liability.
