User Interfaces

Lithium includes two separate user interfaces. Where most network monitoring systems would conclude with a web-based interface, LITHIUM goes further to provide both a web-based interface and a Windows and Mac OS X based monitoring Console applications.

Lithium Console

Console delivers a network monitoring and management application that is graphically rich, interactive with seamless integration between monitoring and management tasks. With colour coded status indicators used throughout the application, users can quickly see at a glance where problems may exist in the network. Advanced graphing and virtualisation technology allow for in-depth analysis of monitoring data and operational telemetry.

Innovative features such as Virtual Rack and State Scene deliver functionality not found in most off-the-shelf and web-only monitoring platforms. Virtual Rack allows the users to graphically model the physical development of hardware and the cabling between devices. Live monitoring data is used to display CPU and storage resource usage on devices as well as cable and interface status.

Console is an integral part if the LITHIUM Network Monitoring Platform and requires a Core deployment to connect to. Console is available for FREE on both Mac OS X and Windows XP/Vista.

Web

Web is the Lithium Network Monitoring Platform's web-based user interface component. Web utilises PHP and HTML to deliver a 100% html interface to all the network monitoring and statistical data stored and presented by Core. All distribution of Core include the HTML and PHP files for Web, and all installations of Core include a ready-to-use installation of Web.

There's no need for third-party plug-ins such as Flash, etc. This allows Web to be used on virtually any web-enabled device including hand-held devices.

The Web component of Lithium NMP allows you to view at-a-glance status and in-depth statistical data anywhere, any time. Web also provides an interface to interact with the built-in case management system included in the Lithium Network Monitoring Platform.
